Ms. Danielle Hoffman was born in Maryland and started music early by banging on her grandparent's piano. She began formal piano lessons at age 6 and clarinet lessons at age 12. She has obtained a Bachelor of Music in Music Education from the University of Florida, and a Master of Music in Clarinet Performance from West Chester University of Pennsylvania. With almost 14 years of teaching private lessons, she also has experience with K-8 general music, choir, band, and orchestra. Ms. Hoffman holds current teaching certifications for PK or K-12 Music from Colorado, Pennsylvania, and Maryland and previously held a K-12 Music certification from Florida. She is a member of the American Orff-Schulwerk Association (AOSA) and attends workshops with the Rocky Mountain Orff Chapter. For more information, please see her website.
Ms. Hoffman will spend time in every lesson discussing positive practice techniques to avoid frustration and injury. There is a method to the madness! Practice makes progress, NOT perfect.
While Ms. Hoffman teaches a variety of instruments to all ages and levels of students, she specializes in beginning students and preparing students for special events such as auditions and competitions.
